The development of the Ushachy district was discussed at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee

Increasing the economic efficiency of the agro-industrial complex, as well as the effective use of tourism potential, have been identified as key growth points for the Ushachy district. The project for the development strategy of this region was considered at a meeting of the regional executive committee.

 

 

As noted by Gennady Sabinich, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, the district is currently lagging behind in many socio-economic indicators. This was pointed out by the Prime Minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, who visited Ushachy this year and instructed the local authorities, together with the Regional Executive Committee, to develop a development strategy for the region for the near future and the long term. This business plan was presented for discussion.

– We focused on two main areas: agriculture and tourism. The first involves the development of pig farming, cattle breeding with crop production. The second is tourism, which includes our landmark projects, in particular, "Victory Breakthrough," "Extreme Breakthrough," the development of sports infrastructure, health resort treatment, and agro-ecotourism estates, – emphasized Sergey Sadovsky, Chairman of the Ushachy District Executive Committee.
