Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Honors Mothers with Many Children

Today, a special atmosphere of beauty, love, and tenderness prevails at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee! A festive reception for women – mothers of large families of the Vitebsk region – is being held here.

Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin:

– I congratulate all mothers on a wonderful holiday – Mother's Day, and all Orthodox Christians on the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. It is significant that on this day we are presenting both the orders and prizes named after Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko.

There are 11.8 thousand large families living in the Vitebsk region.

The state supports large families: from school preparation to the payment of various benefits. For example, in the region in 2024, material assistance was provided to 25 thousand families (48.1 thousand children) in the amount of almost six million rubles for preparation for the academic year.
