The former building of the Department of Internal Affairs on Suvorov Street became the most expensive object sold by the committee at auction in the last 10 years

An investor from Minsk, who is engaged in the IT business, acquired the former Department of Internal Affairs building on Suvorova Street in Vitebsk for over three million rubles (3,261,912 rubles).

 

 

This is the most expensive property sold by the State Property Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee at auction in the last 10 years.

The complex of buildings of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs is located in the historical part of Vitebsk, adjacent to the Governor's Palace and the Square of the Heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812.

In Soviet times, it housed the Airborne Division headquarters. Since 1992, it was the location of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs, which moved to a new building on Tereshkova Street in 2020.

The sold property complex includes, in addition to the Department of Internal Affairs building, the adjacent two-story forensics building, also designated as a historical and cultural value, as well as a guardhouse and three garage buildings with a car park.

The new owner has been granted three land plots with a total area of over 6,000 square meters.

The investor has ambitious plans. There is a lot of work ahead, but it will be possible to discuss it after the project is developed.

While residing in the capital, he maintains ties with his native Vitebsk and cares about its development.
