A delegation from the Pskov region visited healthcare facilities in the Orsha district
A delegation from the Pskov region of the Russian Federation, led by First Deputy Governor Vera Emelyanova, is visiting the Orsha district as part of its visit to the Vitebsk region. The focus is on healthcare facilities.
The first stop on the itinerary was the Yurtsevo Vitebsk Regional Hospital for Disabled Veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Here, guests from Russia familiarized themselves with the patients' living conditions, the level of medical care, the material resources, and the methods used for patient recovery after illnesses and injuries. Delegation members visited the physiotherapy, therapy, and rehabilitation departments, as well as the geriatric center.
At the multidisciplinary Polyclinic No. 6 of the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, the development of the outpatient-polyclinic link was discussed.
"We have come with a program to study the experience of the healthcare system in the Vitebsk region. In particular, in Orsha, we were interested in such a new facility as this polyclinic: how it was built, how everything is organized here, and how patients are received," noted Vera Emelyanova. "Since it is important for both Russia and Belarus to find new ways to provide high-quality, accessible medical care to the population at the primary level. We will study the experience of our Belarusian colleagues and use it in our practice. We are also ready to share our new technologies. There is an intention to implement joint projects. Since the experience of conducting joint operations and practical training is already in use, it needs to be expanded and continued with new knowledge and energy."
In turn, Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, noted that such meetings contribute to strengthening interregional ties and developing cooperation in the field of healthcare. He also emphasized that joint projects are an important step towards further improving the quality of medical services.
