In the Vitebsk region, 88.4% of the areas have been threshed

As of the morning of August 19, grain and leguminous crops have been threshed on 88.4% of the cultivated area in the Vitebsk region.

According to the regional agricultural committee, 257.3 thousand hectares have been harvested, yielding 592.8 thousand tons at a productivity of 23 centners per hectare. The highest productivity was recorded in the Orsha (37.3 centners/ha) and Vitebsk (33.2 centners/ha) districts.

Threshing of spring rapeseed has begun, yielding an average of 17.6 centners per hectare.

85.3 thousand hectares (29%) of soil have been plowed for sowing winter crops for the 2025 harvest. Rapeseed has been sown on 43 thousand hectares (71.7%).

Flax pulling is nearing completion, with 6.5 thousand tons of flax straw harvested at an average grade of 0.97.

Corn harvesting has commenced, with green mass yield at 234 centners per hectare. In total, since the beginning of fodder preparation, 14.41 centners of feed units per conventional head of cattle have been prepared (compared to 9.51 centners of feed units on the same date in 2023).
