"Важнейшая задача исполнительной власти". Сергеенко о создании комфортных условий жизни на селе

The most important task of the executive branch. Sergeenko on creating comfortable living conditions in rural areas

The creation and maintenance of comfortable living conditions in rural settlements is a key task of the executive branch, Chairman of the House of Representatives, authorized representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk region, Igor Sergeenko, told reporters after a meeting of the Postavy District Executive Committee, which was held with his participation.
The agenda of the meeting included the work being done to solve the issues of ensuring the population's livelihood in the Kuropolsky rural council and the work on developing small and medium-sized businesses in the Postavy district.

"Issues of ensuring, creating comfortable conditions, and maintaining existing ones at a decent level are among the most important tasks of the executive branch," Igor Sergeenko emphasized. "There are several components to ensuring comfortable living, including housing."

Speaking about the housing issue, the authorized representative of the Head of State noted that today, 46 families are on the waiting list for housing improvement in the rural council, which indicates that people are staying in large farms.

Igor Sergeenko named trade as the second component of comfortable living. However, today there was serious criticism of its work. First of all, to the consumer society. In this regard, he noted that the leadership of Belkoopsoyuz should pay attention to the work of consumer cooperation in the Vitebsk region, particularly in the Postavy district, where the share of consumer cooperation in trade as a whole is currently 5%, a number of premises are empty, and many stores are closing.
"I don't want to say that the situation is catastrophic, but it is quite critical," Igor Sergeenko noted.

As for water supply, the issue of building an iron removal station is quite acute, he noted. In particular, one station has been put into operation in this rural council, and the completion of the second is planned by the end of the year. "People also approached me on this issue during a personal reception. This work will continue in the Postavy district next year," he added.

The most important issue is medical care. According to the chief physician of the district, all paramedic and obstetric stations have been brought into the appropriate condition. The material and technical base of the district hospital is being improved, and a new building is under construction, which will be commissioned next year. In general, there are no serious complaints regarding medical services.

"The next component is transport

ort, roads. This year, significant funds have been allocated. Almost twice as much as last year. And taking into account the real state of affairs, and taking into account the citizens' appeals, the district executive committee chooses the sites that need to be asphalted and graded," noted the representative of the House of Representatives.
He paid special attention to the sphere of education. "We will see how the preparation of schools for the new academic year is completed. By August 20, all readiness certificates for schools must be signed," he said, adding that there are no issues with transporting schoolchildren, everything is being resolved promptly.

"A sufficiently important topic is the care of elderly citizens living alone. From meetings and trips around the district, it is clear that these issues are being resolved. The district center for social services for the population is working. Assistance is provided, social workers are assigned," said the authorized representative of the head of state.

However, according to him, the group of people who do not work anywhere causes concern. In the rural council, there are 184 such people in the database for various reasons. Of these, according to the chairman of the rural council, 32 people do not work anywhere, live at the expense of relatives, casual earnings, and require increased attention from the authorities in the matter of employment.

In general, he noted, the issues that were submitted to the district executive committee meeting today are important. Comfortable living conditions for the population testify to the state's care for pensioners and the elderly, but also allow for personnel retention.

As for the harvesting campaign, work in the Postavy district is nearing completion, noted the authorized representative of the head of state. According to him, the completion is planned by August 20. The Postavy district is among the top five leaders in harvesting. The average yield is over 25 centners per hectare. A few more good weather days remain, and all work will be completed, emphasized Igor Sergeenko.
