Gennady Sabinich: "The President has set clear and specific tasks: to get to work without delay and to restore order"

On Monday, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko approved Gennady Sabynich for the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, and on Wednesday, he began his work in the new position.

– The President has set clear and specific tasks: to start working without delay, to establish order, – Gennady Gennadievich commented reservedly on his appointment.
It is worth noting that Gennady Sabynich is not a public figure. It is not his style to tell journalists much on camera about his work, plans, and successes. He does not like to make empty promises, he is used to doing, making decisions, and is not afraid of responsibility.
Specific results best characterize him. For example, the Vitebsk region, which he led for eight years, is a leader in agricultural production in the northern region. Gennady Sabynich headed the Vitebsk City Executive Committee for less than a year, and during this time he brilliantly organized the work of the team, which prepared the city for its 1050th anniversary and the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in a short period. In addition to landmark facilities that are visible to everyone (Victory Square, the hotel, the Vitebsk Concert Hall), a significant part of the order establishment in the regional center remained "behind the scenes": road repairs, the restructuring of the city's housing and communal services onto new rails, and landscaping, including yard areas.
Now Gennady Sabynich will lead the agricultural sector of the Vitebsk region, and as the President noted, there is a lot of work to be done.
– Alexander Grigorievich, while approving my appointment, emphasized that he intends to visit the Vitebsk region in the near future and pointed out that our region is no worse than others in terms of climatic conditions; the main thing is to decide what we will cultivate on our land, how we will process and sell it to achieve economic effect. As for the integration structures formed in the Vitebsk region, I absolutely agree with the head of state. A balanced approach and thorough analysis are necessary. It is always easier to destroy what someone has created, but not always right. The vector is set, we will identify the "sensitive" points and optimize and improve the mechanism, – Gennady Sabynich summarized.
