This year, the Vitebsk region plans to harvest 900,000 tons of grain and leguminous crops
According to specialists' estimates, the gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops this year will amount to 900 thousand tons. This was stated at a meeting of the regional executive committee dedicated to the organization of the harvest and sowing of winter crops.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Anatoly Linevich, who is the plenipotentiary representative of the head of state for the Vitebsk region, took part in the discussion of this relevant topic.
Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, stated: the complexity of this period lies in the fact that crops ripen almost simultaneously, while fodder procurement and soil preparation for winter sowing are carried out in parallel. Therefore, the management system must be optimized for maximum efficiency, and all work must be carried out with high quality and technological precision.
