24 appeals were received on Alexander Subbotin's "hotline"

The "hotline" of the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin, received a traditional range of questions concerning the work of housing and communal services, the condition of roads, disputes with neighbors, landscaping, and others. However, there was one pleasant difference – the head of the region's communication with residents began and ended with words of gratitude.

The first call came from Vitebsk. A man noted significant changes in the city on the Dvina, which had become more beautiful and cozy, and this, according to the caller to the "hotline," was the merit of the current team in the leadership of the region and the city.

– I am a person with an active life position. At one time, like you, Alexander Mikhailovich, I graduated from the Vitebsk Veterinary Academy. I care about everything that happens in my hometown, which I love very much. It is evident that you also care about our common home. Good luck in your difficult work, – said the man.

Alexander Subbotin thanked for the high assessment of the authorities' work and stated the goal – to make the Vitebsk region the best region in Belarus.

A total of 24 appeals were received on the "hotline." Most of them were from Vitebsk. In particular, residents of houses at Frunze Street, 116 and 114, Mira Street, 24 complained about leaks in their apartments. Due to dampness, mold appeared on the walls. A man, whose family is raising a child with a disability, asked to install a ramp so that he could take his son out on a stroller, and a mother of two young children living on Gagarin Street asked for a bench and a sandbox in the courtyard of her building. Residents of houses on Lokomotivnaya Street, 5 and Pravdy Street, 66 complained about problems with hot water supply.

– The water from the kitchen tap is almost boiling, and in the bathroom it is icy cold, – explains a woman living on Pravdy Street. – We have contacted everywhere, but the water has not warmed up.

The head of the region instructed the chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Gennady Sabyinich, and the head of the main department of housing and communal services of the regional executive committee, Yuri Dyadyolo, to take control of all these issues.

– The appeals that were heard once again revealed our shortcomings. Much has been done in the Vitebsk region within the framework of the "Comfortable Housing and Favorable Environment" program, but there are still some deficiencies. We will try to correct them as soon as possible, – emphasized Yuri Dyadyolo.

Residents of Orsha, Postavy, Senno, Gorodok, Polotsk and Chashniki districts also appealed to the head of the region with various problems. All complaints will be studied, and people will receive answers. Some problems were resolved during the "direct line". For example, a resident of the agro-town of Lukoml in Chashniki district voiced the request of the people not to base waste processing near their settlement. As it turned out, the local authorities had already abandoned this option. However, the second issue – to put the road in order – is yet to be resolved.

Summing up the "direct line", Alexander Subbotin noted that residents of the regional center are more active and demanding, which is why they call more often. In rural areas, people are more self-reliant, although there are plenty
