The third work semester was solemnly opened in the Vitebsk region

 This is an interesting and rewarding time, as time has chosen you! These were the parting words of Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, addressed to the student teams of the Vitebsk region at the grand opening of the third labor semester.– We are opening the third labor semester, which is eagerly awaited by young people ready to contribute their skills to the state and help people. And this is a great undertaking: you will have the opportunity to live in the rhythm of the country, participate in international, republican, and regional projects, work in enterprises, build facilities, treat people, and educate children, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov. – We have gathered in a sacred place, because this year is significant. Belarus has lived under a peaceful sky for 80 years, and we honor the Banner of Victory, which flies over our square.Vyacheslav Durnov presented vouchers for the labor summer to the territorial headquarters of the region and distinguished student teams, wishing the participants not only to spend their time productively but also to find true friends, allies in their professional endeavors, and for some, to find love.– We are making every effort to ensure that everyone who wishes to do so is employed in student teams. This year, it is planned to employ over 6,000 young men and women in the Vitebsk region as part of pedagogical, construction, agricultural, service, production, medical, and environmental student teams. Currently, young men and women are already working at the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" as part of pedagogical and service teams. Our youth will work not only in Belarus but also abroad – on the international labor project "BAM 2.0" and in children's camps in the Republic of Tatarstan, – emphasized Zhanna Naritsyna, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM. A special venue for "Labor Summer – 2024" will be the regional youth construction project in Vitebsk. The participants will be involved in the reconstruction of the second medical building of the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital. Employment is also planned for the production labor project "Atlant 2024", the medical labor project "Medicus", the production labor project "Avtozavodets 2024", the interdisciplinary labor project "Traktorostroitel 2024", and the All-Belarusian youth construction project "Patriotic Center".

Youth of the northern region and honored guests laid flowers at the Memorial Complex to the Liberators of Vitebsk – Soviet soldiers, partisans, and underground fighters. Afterwards, the fighters became participants in the first youth plein air event "BSO Remembers". – Each participant in the student brigade movement will be given a fragment of a collective painting created by a creative group of student brigade members and a personal assignment. Their task is to create a unified picture through joint efforts, which will be presented at the closing of the third labor semester, – added Zhanna Naritsyna.
