The Vitebsk region will host the regional stage of the patriotic song festival-competition "Soldier's Envelope – 2024"

Today in the village of Novka, Vitebsk region, the youth of the Vitebsk region will perform patriotic songs at the regional stage of the national festival-competition "Soldier's Envelope – 2024", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

As reported by the regional committee of the BRSM, within the framework of this competition, the regional patriotic internet marathon "Songs of Victory" was held in the Vitebsk region from May 5 to 9. Students, pupils, and working youth aged 14 to 31 posted video clips on social networks, tagging the account of the Vitebsk regional organization of the BRSM on Instagram with the hashtags #SongsOfVictory #BelarusRemembers #YouthRemembers.

For the first time this season, the "Family Remembers" nomination was introduced, within which young families also took part in the internet marathon. In the second nomination – "Songs of Victory" – contestants revealed the message and atmosphere of the musical composition in their video clips.

– The winners of the regional patriotic internet marathon "#SongsOfVictory" will present eight performances at the Vitebsk Regional Center for Culture and Creativity. Afterwards, they will join the "80 Peaceful Years" flash mob and form the symbolic number "80", as well as unfurl the flag of the Republic of Belarus. Thus, they will pay tribute to the immortal feat of the people and confirm the popular wisdom: by preserving the memory of the past, we multiply the future, – noted the regional committee of the BRSM.
