The presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies was held

Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov held a presidium meeting to discuss the work of local government bodies on analyzing prices and assortment of socially significant goods in retail outlets and catering establishments of the Vitebsk region.

"Price monitoring, assortment list monitoring are issues that deputies must resolve, deal with, and keep under constant control," noted Dmitry Demidov.

According to the results of 2023, the share of domestically produced goods in the retail turnover of the officially registered trade network of the region was 66.8 percent (the best result among the regions of the republic), including 79.6 percent for food products and 48.5 percent for non-food products.

For January-March 2024, goods worth 1829.9 million rubles were sold to the population of the region, which amounted to 107.1 percent in comparable prices to the corresponding period of 2023, with a target for the first quarter of 2024 of 102.5 percent.
