From July 1, the procedure for receiving pensions and benefits will change in Belarus
Pensions will be paid to citizens under 70 years of age exclusively through banks, with the exception of persons with disabilities of groups I and II residing in Minsk, cities of regional subordination, and district centers. Benefits for families raising children, assigned by social protection authorities, will also be paid exclusively through banks.
– Recipients of benefits who have disabilities of groups I and II, citizens over 70 years of age, and recipients of benefits for families raising a child with a disability under 18 years of age are given a choice: to receive benefits through a bank or by mail, – explained Irina Golodyuk, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee.
To start receiving a pension or benefit through a bank, it is necessary to open a basic account at a chosen financial institution no later than June 10.
This can be done at JSC "Savings Bank "Belarusbank", "Priorbank", "Belagroprombank", "Sber Bank", "Belgazprombank", "Belarus Bank for Development and Reconstruction "Belinvestbank", "Bank Dabrabyt", "Belvnesheconombank".
You can choose how to receive money: at the bank's cash desk or using a bank card. At the same time, you should fill out the relevant application.
