In the Vitebsk region, more than 44% of the plan has been sown as of April 15
According to the regional agricultural sales department, as of the morning of April 15, 56.7 thousand hectares have been sown with early grain and leguminous crops, or 44.3% of the plan (as of the same date in 2023, 6.5 thousand hectares, or 4.6%, were sown). Orshansky (86.6%), Tolochinsky (76.3%), and Chashniksky (75.7%) districts are leading. In total, nine regions have passed the halfway point of sowing these crops. Also in the Vitebsk region, 3 thousand hectares of spring rapeseed (14.4%) and one-fifth of flax – 2.2 thousand hectares have been sown.
The first 500 hectares have been sown with corn, including 263 hectares for grain.
The country's leader in potato cultivation, Tolochinsky Cannery, has planted 119 hectares of the "second bread" out of a planned thousand.
