A new stationary social service point has been opened in the Vitebsk region
A stationary social service point has opened at the territorial center for social services of the population of the Vitebsk region. The launch of this new important facility is timed to coincide with the Year of Quality.
The social service point is designed to provide consulting assistance, increase the accessibility of social services for citizens living in the Vitebsk region, and support people with disabilities, families raising children with disabilities, and elderly citizens.
Modern technologies have also found a home here. Families with children with disabilities and adults with disabilities will be provided with the Tomatis auditory training method – a technique aimed at increasing the sensitivity of the inner ear in people with various diagnoses.
This service is popular among residents of the northern region. Parents bring their children to Vitebsk for this service not only from the regional center but also from Orsha, Gorodok, and Polotsk.
The office is equipped with a training area with various simulators for fine motor skill development and pictures. There is a play area with tactile paths for hands and feet, a hammock for relaxation, and other auxiliary equipment.
