Modern requirements for the organization of labor protection work were discussed at a regional seminar in Vitebsk

The large-scale regional seminar focused on how to comply with modern requirements for organizing labor protection in 2024, taking into account the latest legislative changes.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov recalled that the additional social guarantee – exemption of employees during medical examinations with average wage retention, which was introduced into the Labor Code on January 1 of this year, is not accidental.

Due to the presence of advanced diseases in employees, about 60 people died at work in recent years, and 79 last year. Creating additional conditions for examinations is one of the measures to prevent the development of chronic diseases and mortality.

Svetlana Guriev, head of branch No. 1 of the city polyclinic No. 1 of the Vitebsk City Central Polyclinic, spoke in detail about the procedure for conducting medical examinations of the adult and child population.

Sergey Anufriev, First Deputy Head of the Regional Department of the State Labor Inspectorate Department, explained the changes in the Rules for Investigating and Recording Occupational Accidents and Occupational Diseases.
