В Витебской области стартовал марафон «Размаўляй і натхняй», посвященный Международному дню родного языка

The 'Speak and Inspire' marathon, dedicated to the International Mother Language Day, has started in the Vitebsk region

Until February 25, the V.I. Lenin Vitebsk Regional Library, in conjunction with public libraries of the northern region, is holding the "Speak and Inspire" marathon dedicated to the International Mother Language Day.

As reported by the V.I. Lenin Vitebsk Regional Library, throughout the week of the marathon, visitors to the libraries can expect a variety of inspiring events dedicated to the Belarusian language. These include campaigns, contests, quizzes, book presentations, meetings with authors, and literary and musical evenings designed to engage readers and allow them to experience the joy of communicating in their native language. The comprehensive program includes approximately 240 events and over 190 exhibitions.

Additionally, libraries from all districts of the Vitebsk region will participate in the #Віцебскіслоўнік (#VitebskDictionary) campaign. The idea is to present one or more Belarusian words that are associatively linked to a specific district or city, acting as "brand words" that characterize a particular locality. Every day throughout the week, the @vitsebsk_slounik Instagram account invites everyone to explore the Vitebsk region through words – Belarusian, unique, colorful, and native, lovingly selected and illustrated by district libraries.
