An unusual online quiz on the electoral campaign has been launched in Vitebsk
A cognitive quiz "Ready for Elections" has been launched in Vitebsk.
An interesting idea has been implemented in the Pervomaisky district of the regional center. The quiz has become part of a large-scale information and educational project for the youth of the largest district of Vitebsk on electoral activity, "Youth Decides."
The project is designed for young people aged 14 to 31 and consists of diverse events aimed at more actively involving young Belarusians in the electoral process and engaging them in issues of public administration. As reported by the administration of the Pervomaisky district of Vitebsk, the "Youth Decides" program is very comprehensive. It includes thematic meetings with representatives of political parties, the "I Choose My Future" marathon, the "I Am a Citizen" flash mob among members of young voters' clubs, business games, debates, creation of videos, video clips, electronic presentations, questionnaires, and much more.
Young people are the main electoral reserve of society, reflects Valentin Radkevich, a participant in the project and an organizer-teacher at Vitebsk Gymnasium No. 5 named after L.I. Ludnikov:
– According to statistics, every fourth potential voter is under 30 years old. This should be taken into account when working with young people, explaining to them that going to the polls is not just a duty of each of us as citizens, but primarily an opportunity to contribute to their own future and the future of their country. At the same time, it is necessary to talk about politics with young people in a language they understand. For example, yesterday our "Youth Decides" team supported the online challenge "Open the Mailbox." The message of the video, which anyone can join, is simple: go to the polls so that your tomorrow is in your own hands.
Ilya Kuznetsov, one of the main developers of the "Ready for Elections" quiz, which started today, February 15, shared details about it. The history teacher at Vitebsk Secondary School No. 12 and, like Valentin Radkevich, a member of the Council of Working Youth under the administration of the Pervomaisky district of Vitebsk, shared:
– A ten-question quiz about the electoral campaign can be taken on social media, specifically on the "PRO Pervomaysky" Telegram channel. When compiling the quiz, the desire to genuinely engage participants was taken as a guide. The questions are not easily searchable on the internet. To answer correctly, one needs to be knowledgeable about the topic. However, as a bonus, we offer the simplest question, which everyone will definitely answer: it's about the unified voting day – February 25th.
