Sergey Levkovich met with students of the Vitebsk Veterinary Academy
Issues of the upcoming elections of deputies, the development of industrial enterprises, science, education, the region and the country as a whole were discussed during a meeting between Presidential Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Sergey Levkovich and the student leadership of the Vitebsk Order of Honour "Badge of Honour" State Academy of Veterinary Medicine.
During the tour, the Presidential Aide familiarized himself with the work of the academy. Then he joined the regional civil-patriotic marathon "#United", which started on February 6, the republican campaign "Native-National" and the youth information and educational project "Pashtouka.BEL". A flyer with an invitation to participate in the elections, signed by Sergey Levkovich, will be sent to one of the university students.
In the Vitebsk region, "Pashouka.BEL" has generated significant interest among both young people and older generations. Some even requested multiple postcards. On the first day alone, residents of the region wrote over 800 invitation postcards, many of which will be sent to recipients in other regions of the country.
Pressing issues for students were discussed at an open dialogue titled "Youth Perspective. Elections," where Sergey Levkovich served as an expert. He noted that all conditions are created in the country for young people to realize their potential, outlined successful areas, and identified spheres in the Vitebsk region that require further development.
In anticipation of the unified voting day, young people were interested in the requirements for candidates for deputy and how to decide whom to vote for. Sergey Levkovich advised them to carefully read the candidates' programs and listen to their speeches, find the rational core, and compare it with their vision for the country's development. He emphasized the importance for candidates for deputy to be active: to engage with voters and demonstrate their achievements.
"Elections are a very exciting and responsible moment that depends, in part, on everyone. I believe that every candidacy has value, and we must choose, and make this choice in favor of the best," said Vadim Filippov, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. "In the future, today's youth will hold leadership positions in industry, agriculture, or other fields, so it is important for us to get involved in this process. I think choosing a candidate will be the first step towards a successful future." The young man shared that he will be participating in the vote as an elector for the first time.
"I believe that all young people should go through this and feel the responsibility, because we understand that the future depends on our choice. We will continue to live in this country and develop it together," noted a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
In any election campaign, the most important thing is people's participation in the elections, especially young people, emphasized Sergey Levkovich. "The student community consists of people who are voting for the first or second time in their lives. The main thing is that they come and understand the importance of participating in this process and in no way remain on the sidelines of the country's political life. Today, we must instill this in them so that they understand and are always interested in political life, and draw correct conclusions from the flow of information in a highly developed information environment.
The regional civil-patriotic marathon "#United" was launched in the Vitebsk region on February 6. It includes open dialogues on the topic of youth's perspective on elections, legal games, and the republican projects "Citizen's Alphabet. Version 4.0" and "Native-National". The marathon will last until February 24.
