A gathering of senior citizens of the Union State "We are for Active Longevity" is planned to be held in Vitebsk.
"Deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly have familiarized themselves with the activities related to the development of the Union State event "Union Gathering of Senior Citizens 'We are for Active Longevity'". The proposal to prepare the event was adopted at the meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on September 4, 2023, in Pskov. The estimated number of participants is 250 people, with 125 people from each state, and the venue is Vitebsk," the press service reported.
The gathering is scheduled for three days, during which interactive sessions are planned for exchanging best practices and initiatives for implementing national strategies for the benefit of elderly citizens and active longevity. "Parliamentarians noted that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus is currently working on preparing a budget application for financing the event in question from the Union State budget. Deputies who are members of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly for Labor, Social Policy, and Healthcare will continue to monitor the progress of the event's development," the press service added.
