It is evident that a great deal of work has been done in preparation for the unified voting day – international observer
As part of monitoring the preparation and conduct of elections for deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, representatives of the CIS Observer Mission continue to visit electoral districts to familiarize themselves with their work.
The international observer from the CIS, Olga Kremskaya, participated in the work of the Dokshitsy District Election Commission and observed the registration of candidates for deputies.
During the meeting of the district election commission, candidates for deputies of the House of Representatives, as well as the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, were registered. In addition, a draw was held at the meeting, based on the results of which the dates and times for speeches on radio and television were determined, and ballots for voters to familiarize themselves with the candidates were approved.
The international observer from the CIS, Olga Kremskaya, noted that the process of registering candidates for deputies proceeded smoothly and in a solemn atmosphere:
– It is evident that a great deal of work has been done in preparation for the single voting day, which will be held in the country in a new format. All information provided by the candidates for deputies has been thoroughly checked. It is important that they received complete information on how to subsequently create an election fund, how to prepare and work correctly within the framework of campaigning.
We remind you that the work of the CIS Observer Mission at the elections in Belarus began on January 22, when the headquarters started operating. To date, more than 50 international observers have been registered and are working on a long-term basis. It is planned that more than 150 people will take part in the mission's work, representing the CIS member states, the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth Countries, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, the CIS Executive Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Union State.
