25 rescuers took the solemn oath in Vitebsk
In honor of the upcoming 25th anniversary of the formation of emergency response bodies and units and the professional holiday, Rescuer's Day, 25 new recruits who have joined the ranks of rescuers in the Vitebsk region have taken the oath in Vitebsk, a BELTA correspondent reports.
Among those who nervously awaited one of the most important events in their lives was a representative of the fair sex - Anastasia Polesova, an propaganda inspector of the Gorodok District Department of Emergency Situations. "I worked in the Ministry of Emergency Situations in civilian positions for several years, but I always wanted to get an officer position in this department. My father, who was a colonel in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, instilled in me a love for serving my country and people. My dream has come true, and I would like to say to those who are thinking of joining the ranks of the Ministry of Emergency Situations - do not hesitate, especially if you have an inner desire for it," shared Anastasia, admitting that she is a little nervous on such a day, and her husband, who also works in law enforcement, came to support her.
A total of more than 50 new rescuers took the oath in the northern region on this day. However, it was not only the newcomers who felt the full solemnity of the moment - the heads of the regional departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Vitebsk region were presented with keys to new vehicles. New equipment was purchased at the expense of the regional budget, and 10 Geely passenger cars, two fire trucks, a medical service vehicle, a minibus, and two aerial ladder trucks were sent to their new duty stations. The gifts for the rescuers did not end there, and eight employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were handed the keys to new rental 2-room apartments in the regional center.<
