In 2024, a pharmaceutical production facility of the V technological paradigm will be launched in Vitebsk
Vitebsk LLC "Belcarolin" plans to commission a digitized plant for the production of innovative veterinary drugs based on V technological paradigm technologies by the end of 2024.
The Chairman of the City Executive Committee, Gennady Sabynich, visited the new production site, where he assessed the progress of work and the prospects of the high-tech enterprise, which, incidentally, is included in the list of new productions of decisive importance for the innovative development of Belarus.
The project has been implemented since 2018 with the support of the regional executive committee's innovation fund. In fact, it is about creating a new production site for an existing enterprise, where the project initiators have brought to life the boldest ideas and concepts using global approaches to design (BIM technologies), as well as production control and management based on the "Industry 4.0" concept, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
On the outskirts of the regional center, in sector No. 1 of FEZ "Vitebsk", of which "Belcarolin" has been a resident since 2017, a production building for the new plant with developed infrastructure has been erected. Administrative and warehouse units, as well as a laboratory building, have already moved here. According to the company's director, Tatyana Vashchenkova, the second start-up complex (non-sterile drug production area) is now fully prepared for the reception and installation of equipment. After that, a similar process will begin in the sterile drug production. In parallel, it is planned to transfer all production units to the international GMP standard, which will significantly expand the export potential of the enterprise. The new plant will organize the production of original veterinary drugs for animal treatment under the general name "Green Line" based on natural raw materials.
Gennady Sabinich familiarized himself with the main production sites, where installation and commissioning works will begin very soon, visited the laboratory building and communicated with specialists who are mastering new equipment. The head of the city paid special attention to the comfortable working conditions created at the enterprise, which is a guarantee of high-performance work of employees.
– Caring for the working person is a very significant factor, and in this regard, "Belcarolin" can serve as an example for everyone, – noted Gennady Sabinich, thanking the management of the enterprise and the team for their initiative, innovation, and future orientation.
According to the results of 2023, the company increased sales by almost 39%, and the export volume exceeded 50 percent. Today, the enterprise's production portfolio includes more than 60 product names, with the company adding about ten new developments annually. About 40 percent of the products are in the innovative category.
