Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: the incidence of industrial injuries and fatalities in the Vitebsk region decreased by 7 percent

A clear system for organizing and conducting labor protection events in the Vitebsk region contributes to reducing the incidence of injuries and fatalities.

Thanks to the joint work carried out in 2023, a positive result has been achieved in reducing occupational injuries in organizations of the Vitebsk region. The total number of people injured at work decreased by 7 percent.

The preventive measures taken have prevented an increase in cases of severe and fatal injuries.

A number of organizational and practical measures contributed to a 20 percent reduction in occupational injuries in organizations of communal ownership.

The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has approved a set of measures to strengthen production and technological, executive and labor discipline, and safety of production activities in organizations of the Vitebsk region for 2024 and has identified a number of practical measures aimed at further consolidating the positive trend of eliminating any workplace injuries and fatalities from external controllable causes.
