In the Vitebsk region, it is planned to commission more than 300 thousand sq. m of housing in 2024

The housing construction policy in 2024 will focus on providing citizens with affordable and comfortable housing, and creating a safe and environmentally sustainable living environment.

State support will continue to be provided for the construction of housing for citizens registered as needing improved housing conditions, as well as the construction of rental and social housing using budget funds. In the Vitebsk region, it is planned to commission 309 thousand sq.m of total residential building area.

In 2023, the housing construction sector showed growth dynamics. Thus, in January-October of last year, 232.1 thousand sq.m of total residential building area were commissioned, which is 12% more than in the same period of 2022. This amounted to 76.3% of the annual target.

For citizens registered as needing improved housing conditions and undertaking construction with state support, 50.4 thousand sq.m were commissioned in the Vitebsk region over 10 months of 2023, or 40.3% of the annual target.
