BELARUS universal chassis and snow groomers will be produced in Vitebsk

The production of two models of Minsk Tractor Works equipment will be relocated to the MTZ-Holding enterprise in Vitebsk.

– The production of the universal BELARUS Sh-406 chassis and the BELARUS MSU-108 snow-clearing machine will be established by the Vitebsk Tractor Spare Parts Plant (VZTZCh), which is part of the MTZ-Holding structure, – reported the corporate publication of OJSC MTZ, "Traktor.by", citing information from Mikhail Barinkov, chief specialist for the organization and support of production at OJSC MTZ. – Currently, the Sh-406 and MSU-108 are assembled at the Minsk Tractor Works. For now, this type of product is highly specialized and produced in small quantities. Transferring production to the Vitebsk Tractor Spare Parts Plant will free up MTZ's production capacities and increase the output of these machines.

Since VZTZCh lacks its own facilities for such production, it has been decided to locate the assembly section on the premises of the machine-tool building enterprise "Vistan," which is also part of "MTZ-Holding." Organizational and preparatory work has already begun, the territory is being improved, and the technological equipment, tooling, and instruments necessary for serial production are being purchased. The assembly of prototype machines is planned to start by the end of the year.
