Special vehicles were handed over to territorial social service centers and boarding schools in the Vitebsk region

Special passenger cars for social services were handed over today to territorial centers for social services for the population (TCSOP) and boarding schools in the Vitebsk, Minsk, and Grodno regions.

This project is being implemented at OJSC "Brestmash" with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. "We have 146 territorial centers for social services for the population and 91 boarding schools. One of the main tasks is maximum accessibility of social services. The project allows for the accessibility of services both for city residents and in the most remote settlements. Each TCSOP has day care departments for people with disabilities. There are also 158 departments for the elderly. In boarding schools, people are not confined within four walls. They attend various events, including showcasing their talents," emphasized Nikolai Orel, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Social Services and Social Assistance of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

To ensure the mobility of people with disabilities and the elderly, the Ministry of Labor decided to centrally procure special transport. 39 such passenger cars were manufactured by "Brestmash" by order. Of these, 23 are intended for territorial centers for social services and 16 for boarding schools. They will be delivered to all regions of the republic. In particular, today representatives of social institutions of the Vitebsk, Grodno, and Minsk regions received the keys to 18 special vehicles.
