A waste processing complex has opened in the Orsha district

A waste processing complex has been opened in the Orsha district, BELTA was informed by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Housing and Communal Services Gennady Trubilo, as well as the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin.

The waste processing complex is built at the regional landfill in the village of Solovyovo, Orsha district. It includes a waste sorting plant, equipment for processing construction and bulky waste, and a composting site.

"Waste streams from not only the Orsha district, but also from Dubrovno and Tolochin districts will be directed there. The complex's capacity is 60 thousand tons per year. During sorting, it is planned to extract secondary material resources and obtain a pre-RDF fuel fraction. From bitumen-containing waste, crumb will be produced for road construction, from concrete and stones – secondary crushed stone, and from wood – fuel chips," the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services noted.

Today, an on-site meeting of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, led by the minister, is being held in Orsha.
