Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: Results of the Safety Month in Real Sector Economy Organizations Summarized

In accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, for 4 weeks (from September 27 to October 27, 2023), mobile groups, including representatives of executive committees, supervisory and control bodies, conducted raid activities to ensure compliance with labor protection legislation, focusing on industrial facilities in the region.

Raids were carried out in 103 organizations of various forms of ownership, covering 213 facilities.

Numerous violations of the procedure for using personal protective equipment were identified. Violations related to non-compliance with the requirements for the safe operation of machines, mechanisms, equipment, and other machinery, as well as their repair and maintenance, were detected. Some violations concerned the condition of the territory and the operation of buildings and structures.

A total of 872 violations were identified. 53 employees were suspended from work, 33 units of equipment were ordered to be stopped, 8 types of work were prohibited, and the operation of one facility was suspended.

For all identified facts, 53 reports were sent to district executive committees, and 17 materials were submitted to the prosecutor's office for response measures and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
