More than ten enterprises and organizations of the Vitebsk region will take part in INNOPROM

More than ten enterprises and organizations of the Vitebsk region will take part in the INNOPROM international industrial exhibition, which will be held in Yekaterinburg from July 10 to 13, the Committee for Economy of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee reported.

"13 enterprises and organizations from our region will participate in the XIII INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg. Among them are educational institutions, for example, Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk," the committee clarified.

Polotsk-Steklovolokno OJSC will present its products as part of the unified stand of the Belneftekhim concern. The enterprise plans to conclude an additional agreement to the current contract with a Russian partner to increase supplies of its products. It also intends to sign two additional protocols with two Russian companies on organizing supplies of fiberglass products.

Other enterprises of the Vitebsk region continue to work on inviting representatives of Russian and foreign companies to the exhibition, who show interest in their products.

Among the documents planned for signing at INNOPROM is an agreement on the implementation of international and foreign economic relations in the industrial sector between the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Chechen Republic and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The document is planned to be signed on the main stage of the national pavilion on July 11. The delegation of the Vitebsk region at the forum will be represented by Veronika Zabolueva, Chairperson of the Committee for Economy of the Regional Executive Committee, and Yegor Jandarov, General Director of Vitebskprom State Enterprise.

The Vitebsk region is interested in organizing and increasing supplies of both industrial products and consumer goods, the committee noted. Increasing volumes will help compensate for lost income from the markets of the European Union, the USA, and Canada. The region's enterprises plan to build cooperation chains by interacting with Russian business entities. The larger the volume of high value-added products sold, the higher the export profitability will be.

Import substitution and import optimization are also at the forefront. This concerns goods that are either not produced in the country or are produced in insufficient quantities. "Cooperation with Russian business entities in the form of import substitution will help compensate for the decline in imports and start jointly producing necessary goods," the committee emphasized.

In the northern region, 76 enterprises of the region are engaged in import substitution for 181 product items. Of these enterprises, 44 are small and medium-sized businesses, and they are responsible for 85 product items.
