Alexander Subbotin to graduating cadets: you have a strategic advantage over other young people

58 graduates gathered on the parade ground of the Vitebsk Cadet School, who bid farewell to the banner of their educational institution at a solemn ceremony. "Among these young men are two gold medalists, two winners of the final stage of the republican subject Olympiad, and many other outstanding children who have won numerous diplomas and taken first places in creative, military-sports, and sports competitions. These young people are true patriots of our country, ready to defend it, and they are a good, strong, and close-knit family," said the school's director, Colonel Oleg Demidov. He added that the young men also learned self-confidence and belief in their abilities here.
Cadet school students traditionally choose professions related to serving the Motherland. More than 80% of this year's graduates will enter educational institutions of the state's national security system.
Vitebsk cadets traditionally prove themselves to be excellent students and determined young individuals who consciously choose their future specialty and begin to grasp the basics of military service as early as the eighth grade. Representatives of various law enforcement agencies came to congratulate the young men, offering words of encouragement to the future defenders of the Fatherland and presenting awards to those who excelled in their studies.
"The Vitebsk Cadet School is considered one of the best in the cadet education system in our country. A strong intellectual potential of future defenders of the Fatherland is being formed here. The Last Bell ceremony is another step and a new stage in the lives of the cadets. Dear graduates, you have a strategic advantage over other young people – the Motherland has educated you, accustomed you to discipline and work, taught you to live by conscience, truth, and with an open heart. This is your strength. Much has been done in Belarus to enable young people to unlock their talents, feel happy and confident about the future," emphasized the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.
The head of the region wished the children to understand their purpose and noted that patriots are needed by the country more than ever. Also, Alexander Subbotin, addressing the parents of Vitebsk cadets, asked them not to doubt the correctness of their children's choice.
Cadets, together with the school administration and guests, planted a memorial alley.
