Over 43,000 children are planned to be health-improved in the Vitebsk region this summer
In the summer period of 2023, 43,072 children are planned to be accommodated in the Vitebsk region, including 17,472 children in camps with round-the-clock stays and 25,600 children in camps with day stays.
There will be 33 suburban stationary camps operating in the region, 19 of which are owned by budget organizations and 14 camps are owned by enterprises.
In 2023, 2 suburban stationary camps will be opened: "Braslavskaya Volna" of the education department of the Braslav District Executive Committee for 60 places per shift and "Alyi Parus" of the education department of the Shumilino District Executive Committee for 70 places per shift.
Additionally, camps with round-the-clock stays will be opened in the Lepel and Orsha districts on leased premises.
The average cost of a voucher to health resorts is planned to be 690.00 rubles.
1,400 teenagers will rest and work in labor and recreation camps. Children will perform work on landscaping and gardening, repair of schools and school furniture, sewing of workwear, plant care, and will work in agricultural enterprises.
It is planned to accommodate 1,600 orphans and children left without parental care, and 370 children with disabilities. Children from large families and employees of budget organizations will not be overlooked; for these categories of children, funds in the amount of 65,000 rubles are provided from the regional budget for supplementary payment to the full cost of vouchers.
105 thousand rubles from the republican budget and 755 thousand rubles from the regional budget have been allocated for the preparation and strengthening of the material and technical base of suburban health resorts.
In the "Raduga" health resort, 40 children with disabilities under 18 years of age will be accommodated in 2 groups: children with disabilities diagnosed with cerebral palsy and musculoskeletal disorders, with visual and hearing impairments, and with a diagnosis of "diabetes mellitus," accompanied by doctors. The regional budget provides for the payment of vouchers for wheelchair users with escorts to the "Izumrudny" health resort of the education department of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee, where the dormitory, playground have been renovated, and an accessible environment for children with disabilities has been created.
