Комитет по труду, занятости и соцзащите: месячник по обеспечению безопасных условий труда продлен до 25 мая

Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection: The month-long campaign to ensure safe working conditions has been extended until May 25

In accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, mobile groups carried out work on the territory of the region from March 27 to April 30 to identify and promptly eliminate violations of labor and labor protection legislation that create prerequisites for employee injuries during the sowing campaign.

109 agricultural organizations and 252 agro-industrial complex facilities were inspected, where over 1 thousand violations were identified. The majority of shortcomings identified in agricultural organizations are a consequence of violations of labor safety requirements set forth in the industry's regulatory and technical legal acts. When mobile groups visit, special attention is paid to the timely conduct of labor protection briefings for employees, the availability of special places for short-term rest and meals, smoking areas, the legality of involving minors in work, and the compliance of employees with labor and production discipline.

Particular attention is paid to measures for the prevention and prophylaxis of occupational injuries during field work, in order to exclude cases of allowing tractors, agricultural machinery and units that do not meet safety requirements to be operated.

In the recommendations for eliminating the identified violations, the heads of organizations were instructed to dismiss 99 employees who had not undergone training, instruction, knowledge testing, and who were not using (or provided with) personal protective equipment, to suspend 112 units of equipment that did not meet safety requirements, and to prohibit the production of 16 types of work. The effectiveness of the raid activities is confirmed by the fact that no accidents related to the preparation, repair, and maintenance of agricultural machinery, as well as during the direct execution of spring field work in the agricultural organizations of the Vitebsk region, have been registered.

Due to the continuation of the sowing campaign by the agro-industrial complex organizations of the region, the measures of the month for ensuring safe working conditions have been extended until May 25, as evidenced by a corresponding order.
