A pontoon bridge is being erected on the Daugava River in Beshenkovichi

In Beshenkovichi, on the Dvina River, specialists from the engineering troops are constructing a pontoon bridge, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

Military railway engineers from the pontoon-bridge company of the mobile-restoration railway battalion of the 30th separate railway brigade construct a similar crossing here annually. The structure will help local residents cross comfortably from one bank to the other. Currently, they have to use boat transport or a detour road.

The length of the pontoon road bridge is over 150 m, and it is capable of supporting approximately 20 tons. The opening of traffic across the bridge is scheduled for May.

The crossing will be operational until winter. Throughout this period, military personnel will maintain the structure and regulate traffic.
