Burbot fishing is prohibited!

In order to preserve fish resources of fishery water bodies and create favorable conditions for the spawning of burbot, based on clause 30 of the Rules of Amateur Fishing and clause 68 of the Rules of Fishery Management, fishing for burbot is prohibited from December 25, 2025 to February 28, 2026 in all water bodies of the Republic of Belarus. Burbot caught in fishing gear must be released back into the water body alive and unharmed. The amount of damage caused to the environment for one illegally caught burbot during the fishing ban is 27 Base Units.
