Autumn-winter hunting season for game animals of normalized species

From October 1 to December 31, 2025, in accordance with the Hunting Rules and the Rules for Game Management, the autumn-winter hunting season for normalized game species opens, subject to obtaining game extraction permits and corresponding hunting licenses.

Hunting is permitted for specific game species, including: elk, wild boar, roe deer, red deer, sika deer, fallow deer, mouflon – animals of any sex and age, by drive hunt and with dogs during daylight hours, from ambush and stalking throughout the day.

Types and methods of hunting: firearm hunting – by drive hunt, from ambush, and stalking. Permitted hunting implements: for elk, red deer, fallow deer, adult wild boar over 2 years of age – rifled hunting firearms with a muzzle energy of over 3000 joules, smoothbore hunting firearms using bullet cartridges, hunting bows, and crossbows; for sika deer, roe deer, mouflon, and young wild boar – rifled hunting firearms with a muzzle energy of over 1500 joules, smoothbore hunting firearms using bullet or buckshot cartridges, hunting bows, and crossbows.

Hunting dogs are permitted – breeds are determined by the decision of the hunting ground user.

We remind you that during drive hunts, hunters are prohibited from:

      - conducting them in conditions of poor visibility;

      - entering the middle of the firing line, including clearings or roads, or crossing to the side opposite the shooters (positions);

      - changing positions, independently choosing spots, and leaving one's position before the end of the drive, except in cases where a hunter must provide immediate assistance to another person in distress;

      - using self-loading firearms with a magazine capacity of more than 10 rounds, as well as cartridges for rifled firearms with full metal jacket bullets and for smoothbore firearms with round bullets;

      - firing at game along the firing line, outside of one's sector, after the signal to end the drive.

In order to ensure state control over compliance with environmental legislation during the autumn-winter hunting season, the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus will conduct a special comprehensive event "Hunting" from October 1 to December 31, 2025.

This event is aimed at:

- strengthening control over the organization and conduct of hunts by citizens and officials of hunting ground users;

- identifying cases of illegal hunting and poaching;

- improving forms and methods of interaction with law enforcement agencies and hunting ground users, in order to remove illegal means of wild animal harvesting, including weapons and ammunition, from circulation;

- intensifying preventive work, including with the local population, in order to obtain information about illegal hunting, as well as the storage of illegal means of wild animal harvesting, with particular attention to voluntary surrender.
