The State Institution "Verkhnedvinsk District Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology" (formerly the Verkhnedvinsk District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station) was established in the post-war years.
Primary activity - state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance of national economy facilities, industrial and agricultural enterprises, recreation, education and healthcare institutions, trade and public catering, housing and communal services, and individual entrepreneurs and other entities of various ownership forms. Prevention of infectious, parasitic, and particularly dangerous diseases using laboratory and instrumental research methods, radiation monitoring of environmental objects, food products, and water.
Conducts activities on hygienic education of the population and promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Provides paid services to the public for laboratory examination of food products, water, environmental objects, clinical material, deratization, disinsection, and disinfection.
The institution's structure includes a sanitary-epidemiological department, a laboratory department, administrative and managerial staff, and other employees. The team consists of 2 physicians, 10 specialists with secondary medical education holding qualification categories in their specialties, as well as 4 administrative and managerial staff members and 6 technical and support staff members.
The institution has a single-story building housing the center's structural divisions and garages for sanitary vehicles.
