Novitsky Vladimir Iosifovich
Doctor of Historical Sciences (1990), Professor (1999) of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Born on October 21, 1939, at the Borkovichi railway station in the Verkhnedvinsk district of the Vitebsk region of the BSSR.
In 1966, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Belarusian State University with a degree in "History and Social Studies".
He worked as a lecturer, then as the director of the Republican Komsomol School under the Central Committee of the BRSM of Belarus in 1966-1971. From 1975 to 1984, he was the secretary of the party committee at the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR. From 1984 to 2006, he was the head of department and deputy director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. From 2010 to 2015, he was a professor at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus.
In 1990, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences on the topic "Ideological and Educational Work among the Working People of the Belarusian Ssr (1970-1980)".
