As of January 1, 2026, the population of Verkhnedvinsk District is 17,875 people, including 7,556 urban residents and 10,319 rural residents.
The district includes: the town of Verkhnedvinsk with a population of 6,679 people, and the urban-type settlement of Osveya with 877 residents.
Over 80% of the population are Belarusians, and 10% are Russians. Ukrainians, Poles, Jews, Latvians, Lithuanians, and representatives of other nationalities also reside here.
